Cosmetic Bridges

If you have lost one tooth or more, you may suffer from a lack of masticatory activity and unpleasant change in your vocalization of some letters, in which case aesthetic bridges can help you restore these functions and enjoy a beautiful smile. These bridges compensate for the lost teeth with new teeth, thus restoring the functions of the natural lost teeth in terms of chewing food, pronouncing letters, and securing the cosmetic aspect. Cosmetic bridges and crowns are similar to natural teeth in terms of color and shape. Crowns may be used to protect and restore fractured, worn or badly broken teeth or be placed over dental implants. In addition, they are used to improve the aesthetics of teeth beautifying their appearance, color and shape. Dental crowns and bridges can be made of different materials such as zircon, porcelain, metal alloys, gold, or a combination of these materials. Bridges are usually attached to the neighboring teeth in order to get needed support and stability.

Crowns and bridges are prepared according to the following steps:-

Preparing teeth to accept crowns through sculpting or reducing teeth structure. - Taking a dimensionally correct impression of the prepared teeth which is sent to a dental laboratory specialized in making cosmetic crowns and bridges. -At the same time, a temporary crown or bridge is used in order to keep the paitient comfortable and the teeth protected until the permanent crowns are ready. -When the final crowns are ready, they are attached to the teeth with special materials. In general, dental fixed prosthodontics is the dental specialty that is concerned with compensating for lost teeth with zircon or ceramic fixed bridges and helping the patient to rehabilitate masticatory function (chewing), better aesthetics and aid speech. A dental prosthesis serves to prevent problems that follow tooth loss through: 1. Compensation for lost teeth with fixed, zircon or ceramic bridges. 2. Restoration of large-scale loss of sound dental structure using crowns (Zircon - Emax - ceramic on metal). 3. Reconstructing collapsed teeth with metal post and core using cosmetic fiber posts. 4. Rehabilitation of the mouth with crowns and bridges (zircon - Emax - ceramic on metal) and compensation over implants. Perfectly treating cases of generalized decay or wear of the teeth. 5. providing aesthetic solution for discolored front teeth, whether ginitic or becasue of dental caries. Cosmetic dental lenses or Emax cosmetic crowns simulate the translucency and natural appearance of the teeth. All needed treatments are conducted previously to applying veneers or crowns. 6. Giving the patient a special design for their smile in harmony with the shape and size of their teeth and face.
